Residencias A Quemarropa 2014–2015–2016–2017–2018

Residencias A Quemarropa is a nonprofit artistic residency developed by artists for artists. It takes place in Alicante, Spain, during the summer period in a unique setting by the Mediterranean Sea where people from very diverse cultures come together. A Quemarropa is an experimental art residency, where ten national and international artists are selected to live and show their work at the Las Cigarreras Cultural Center.

During the stay the residents will enjoy a coexistence and a program of visits of professionals from the world of art and culture, workshops, tutorials, talks, presentations … with the aim of showing and proposing new models of creation, strategies and proposals for the residents work.

A Quemarropa Residency is an independent project that was born with the idea of generating connections, exchanges, meetings and dialogues between various participatory agents (assets) of art and culture.

From A Quemarropa we bet to create bonds, that’s why we work and trust in a non-hierarchical coexistence in order to establish ties between the guests and the residents.

piedra papel tijera 2020-2021

Due to the situation imposed by covid 19, A QUMARROPA RESIDENCIES was transformed into an online project under the name of piedra papel tijera ALC.

The essence of this project is to share the processes experienced by artists with anyone, through the involvement of the audience in these same artistic processes.

For this, the “piedra papel tijera ALC” section committee chose five artists who proposed online workshops and short-term actions, where anyone can participate regardless of their training.

piedra papel tijera ALC is a catalyst. We always see what artists do, their final work, but… What happens during the process? What are the tools that artists use to achieve that result? How do their ideas evolve?

Creative processes can be applied to other aspects of life, both professionally and on a daily basis.

OPE ART FESTIVAL 2022

PPT – OPEN ART festival 2022 was born to give visibility to current art trends that question and provide a creative and particular vision of what is happening in our global environment in the 21st century. The festival tries to connect the artists with the non-specialized ordinary population and provoke a participatory dialogue between them and the creators, a space to physically and virtually reflect on bioart, art and nature, art and sustainability or new digital art formats.

Identitas LAB 2017-2019

In 2017 Juan Fuster create with the Art mustang team, Identitas LAB Open Call.

The initiative was borned with the aim of encouraging new ways of production between contemporary creators and the industrial and commercial consumer sector.

We wanted to focus on more personal designs, betting on artists and creators who work outside the industrial environment and the influence of the consumer market, and which places them in a privileged place when it comes to conceiving ideas.

We are interested in the most artistic side of the creator, his most authentic and personal face.

In this sense, the call aims to be a bridge to channel the creative potential of new generations of artists towards society. What we are looking for, are ideas for products for everyday use, focusing attention on the daily life of people and on objects that are part of the immediate environment of ordinary citizens, small-format objects that make life easier and present new solutions. , whether aesthetic or conceptual to the day to day of the individual.

Mustang Icon open call

In order to commemorate 50 years of the Mustang brand, a call was launched
for a public sculpture project.
The title of the open call refers to the word ICON. popularly we do
use of this term as a synonym of SYMBOL and what we were looking for was a SYMBOL that represent and inspire us. We wish that the sculpture installed in the mediations of the headquarters of the Mustang brand, establish a dynamic interaction with the viewer fulfilling the function of a host, welcoming  the visitors of our facilities.
