INFINITE ROAD
A three prints folder, 21 x 29,7 cm each, 40 limited edition
Last January 2023 the artist inaugurated an exhibition of drawings in Liquid gold studios, which represent landscapes around the Hampstead neighborhood in London. During the work process, these landscapes become the setting for visual stories full of mysteries, irony and nihilism. The objective is to introduce the viewer to a story that does not exist, to give them the keys to be able to immerse themselves in a narrative without it existing, a door to the own viewer imagination.
Juan Fuster, who since 2005 had made several series of abstract works, using very physical materials; during the last few years with recycled materials, now him focuses on drawing, a much more ethereal form of expression.
According to the author:
“Since I was very young I have drawn on fiction, cinema, literature, pop music and this new way of working allows me to take all this baggage and use it to tell the things that interest me, I have invented the alter ego of Johnfjunior who in reality who directs the “movies” that I put together in the drawings, let’s say I work for him, he decide what happens on the white paper.
Regarding the folder that will be presented on December 2nd, INFINITE ROAD is a series that is born from the previous series, Hampstead silly tunes, this time the images talk about how fragile the perception of reality is, how we Humans appear and disappear into the world, how fragile we are.
